The Cure “Wish” coming just after their best ever album “Disintegration” was a disappointment for the press at the time, but “Wish” is now considered a classic album, an excellent album, and what I liked back in 1992 was this unique sound “Wish” was bringing, a brand new The Cure sound, very promising for the rest of their career (even if eventually it was not promising, the next albums were disappointing). Some singles like “Friday I’m in love” or “High” were jewels and greatly appreciated even mainstream, and from my side I still think that “Open” and “End” are among the best The Cure songs ever. Overall a superb album…
