The Cure “Seventeen Seconds” (1980)

1980, and still so pure, so actual, a masterpiece that will never age, and more importantly the first of a trilogy ending with “Pornography”, a record that literally still blows my mind, perhaps the best goth rock record to date. With the song “A Forest” Robert Smith was already paving the way to “Pornography”, the “Faith” album was even closer, and eventually all 3 albums “Seventeen Seconds/Faith/Pornography” were leading to what most critics and people think is the best Cure album: “Disintegration”. Anyway, “Seventeen Seconds” is an impressive piece of rock History…
