Ahhhhh, Fleshwater, my favourite band of the last two years. The only band whose last two albums I can listen to again and again without getting bored. I booked the Outbreak Festival in London as soon as I knew they and Have A Nice Life were playing there. And the day finally came, a bit early (mid-afternoon) for such a great band, but the pogos started quickly and the crowd sang the songs by heart. Except… the soundcheck didn’t work, and we barely heard the vocals throughout the entire set. The beautiful playing and sound from the albums didn’t come through either. What a miss. Hoping to see them again in Europe soon — this time as headliners, and with a state-of-the-art soundcheck.
